Cash-strapped states resort to odd taxes

I had to find the right story for the kick off of my 2008 "What the Heck?!" Files and I think you can't get any more strange than seeing this first thing in the morning:

Stripper pole and illegal drug taxes in my state? It's more likely than you would think....

I'm still trying to figure out the whole illegal drug tax and who would be stupid enough to try it.

That's totally messed up.. and I live in the country with the highest taxes in the world.. or, well, we used to, I think they're lower now that you don't pay taxes for having a dishwasher or wodden cupboarddoors, or my perosnal favourite, the "your dad diesd, so we'll just mug you now, okay?" tax.

I mean, that's more messed up than the fact that hookers are expected to pay taxes based on how much they sell (which we also have)
